Foreword

Billions and billions of people have become Christians over the centuries. They believe God visited the earth in the form of a man 2000 years ago and revealed what He demands. To live out their faith, they make a commitment to change their earthly lives. What is this commitment and what is the message that compels it? This overview is offered to explain the basic beliefs that have had such an impact on so many. You may already be a long time member of a Christian church, or not a Christian at all. The material is designed to provide a condensed, high level view of what is Christianity without defining the differences among the denominations. Parts of it may just reinforce what you already know and other parts of it may serve to clarify. In any case, the hope is that this "big picture" viewpoint will be useful, interesting, and thought provoking.
